We're featuring these NEW designs with this week's theme...
Anything Goes
For my card today, I am using the new and beautiful Springtime Doodle Clear Stamp, which is one of the first SweetStamps clear stamp set!!  I just love the doodling.  I really love zentangle art and this image reminds me a lot of that.
I wanted to create a chalkboard look for this card.  So I layered the image and trimmed around it; twice.
The layering really makes the image pop off the embossed background.  I also rubbed a little white pigment ink around the edges, to further accentuate the hearts.
I stamped one of on my favorite sentiment stamps and adhered it on parchment paper, leaving a half inch border around it.  I finished the card by adding gingham ribbon and 3D enamel.

{FTH} May Blog Hop: Get Well

Welcome "From the Heart" fans and birdbrain lovers!!
Today's blog hop is all about, "Get Well" wishes.
There really has been a nasty little bug going around. I know of so many people that it has infected.  It actually came through our household 3 times in one month!!!  It was really bad!!!  Now the weather is warming up and we are spending lots of time outside.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win the image that the designer used. And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $5 gift voucher to the store!

If you have arrived from Angela's blog, you are in the right place!!

For my card today, I am using Rainy Day Brirdbrains.
I'm cutting corners this week...hehehehe
I am using this weeks sketch and tWiSt!!!
I had to make a bright and cheerful card, especially so that the recipient of the card.  I wanted it to just make them smile...especially as much I do when I see these two birdbrains.

I did some serious fussy cutting and paper piecing on this image.  The umbrella is all paper pieced,  but also the birdbrains too!!  I cut out the blu-bellied birdbrain first, then his arm and lastly the polka dotted bird brain. There is a great amount of depth to the image when you do it that way.  It's a lot of work, but so well worth the results.

Supplies I used:
Medium: Copic Markers
Paper: Echo Park: Splendid Sunshine
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics and PTI  and Copic Xpress

There is also still time to play in this weeks sketch w/ a tWiSt challenge #64
Now head over to Dee's blog and see her amazing card!!!
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday May 5th at 6am, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday May 7th.

I would like to share this card in the following challenge:

{SD} #16: Doodle Time (Mid-way Challenge Reminder)

Hello-
Can I tell you how good it feels to actually post my cards!!  I have a stack of cards just sitting here, that are either completed or missing a few little detail embellishments; otherwise are waiting to be photographed!  So hubby and I planned a day where I would do nothing, but what I wanted to do!!!  Ofcourse I printed a bunch of images, laid in bed, with my basket of markers and caught up on my "Scandal" episodes!! OMG....I started watching late in Season 2, so I started back from the beginning!!  I am HOOKED!!!  Love that show!!

Today is a new challenge over at Scribbles Designs and I am SO HAPPY to be playing along.
I have been so busy, that I have neglected my time towards Scribbles Designs.  :(  Sandy is amazing though, she understands and knows that I am not purposely MIA...She knows what's going on over here!!  So...This months theme is:
DOODLING TIME
Now Sandy is the QUEEN BEE of doodling!!!  Have you seen her Zentangles?!?!  OMG...They are stunning!!  I wish I could even begin to start, let alone finish something to intricate and detailed.  I will stick to coloring!!! For now anyways!!  LOL
For my card today, I am using Doodle Flower 7, which is a doodle image.  I could have colored it and left it, but I wanted to play a little.  So after watercoloring my image and cutting it out, I matted it on black cardstock.  I took out my stylus, Copic Opaque White and started to doodle.
I added dots, stars, swirls and streak marks!!  All doodles right??!?!
My finishing touch was the sentiment, which is from Hero Arts.  Embossed with white embossing powder on velum and adhered with gold brads.
Well you still have plenty of time to join the fun!!  So come on over and play.

Hugs.
