Good morning sweeties!!

Today, is another start of challenge week at SweetStamps.

This weeks theme is: 

The Holidays

I just adore the fancy look of silver, white and bling!!

It really gives a card a true feeling of elegance and sophistication!!

I am using some gorgeous paper by Anna Griffin: Winter Wonderland

The Christmas tree and sentiment were stamped and embossed in silver.   The Christmas tree is layered with a stick pin star added to the top. In addition, you can see all the frosted bling that was to the tree for added interest.  Along with the cheesecloth, I also added a piece of lace ribbon to the bottom of the tree. 

So, I hope you have enjoyed my project today and will find inspiration to join us this week.

Hello everyone and good morning!!

Can you believe that it's a month before Christmas!!??

I know, I don't even want to think about it either, but it will be here before you know it!!!

At least this year, I can say that I have completed all my Christmas cards, with a few extras to go around!!

At Sentimental Sundays today, we have a new challenge to help you out with those Christmas cards.

Isn't he just the cutest!!   He's been colored with Copic markers.  I applied lots of shimmery glittery glitter glue to his hat, scarf, mittens and even the snow around him!!  Nothing says winter like snow.

 I love using sketches to get a creative jump start. Great ideas always come from inspiration and sketches are my inspirational motivator.  I always pick out papers that will work with the sketch, as well as the image I am working with.

Well I am back!!!  :) 

My card today is for Inspired by Stamping. 

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I decided to make some cards to give away during our stops, before our long holiday weekend. 

The leaves and sentiment are from Happy Fall

I decided to recreate a wreath with these gorgeous leaves. 

I wanted them to really reflect the colors of Fall, so all the leaves are lighter around the middle and darker on the tips. I even used the SVG cut file, that you can download for free.

*You old Bag!!

Hello~

Happy Saturday!! 

I have a really quick post today!! 

Recently, while rummaging through my stuff!!  Which I have tons of by the way!!

I will be opening a page to sell some of them off some stamps that I will no longer be using/needing!

They do need new homes, so keep an eye out!!

Now, this card is for someone who has a sense of humor!!

Isn't that awesome!!

Love the kraft, black and white color combination.
I added foam tape to the back of the bag and paper crinkle.  To add interest and break up all the kraft.
Didn't want it to get lost!!  :)

*Stamp and Create w/ Magnolia #23: Winter Gifts

Good morning!!
Happy Friday to you!!
It is extremely cold and windy today...BRRR!!!

Today, Stamp and Create w/Magnolia  has a new challenge for you. 

Challenge #23:

Winter Gifts
Use a Winter Themed Magnolia stamp with image with a gift, or create a gift or gift packaging

What do we consider a Winter image?:

Cold, Snow, Christmas, New Year's/Celebrations. Colors are: Red, Green, Gold, white, blue, etc...

  

For my creation today, I am showing you my first attempt at a cracker box!
I have seen these being made and I just love the idea.  Not only that, the look is very unique and it really does make people ask....what is that?!?!
Now, I didn't think the frame on top of the image would look good, but now that it's adhered, I think I like it very much!!!  The black really ties all the colors together.

 Here is a side view.
I added liquid pearl drops on all 8 tops.  It really does take patients and someone with a very steady hand to apply these.  I love the look, so I had to be very..very slow!!  LOL
I added tulle and tied it in a bow at both ends.
Added a Maya Arts Wood Veneer snowflake, charm and poinsettia flowers, which are also on the patterned paper.

Here is a close up in my darling Christmas Eve Tilda.
She has been colored with Copics. The white of her apron and dress have been shimmered up with Stardust glitter glue.  The inside of the frame has been sponged with Antique and Walnut distress ink.

So I hope you enjoyed my card and will pay us a visit.

*Seize The Birthday: Pink and Double Your Toppings

Good morning everyone!!

It's time to get your birthday hat on!!!

This fortnightly challenge is a SPECIAL and I mean extremely SPECIAL post and challenge for you!!!

In honor of our DT sister Jenny, having twins girls a few weeks ago, we are dedicating  this challenge to her and her adorable baby girls. 

So the theme at Seize the Birthday is: 

I had the PERFECT image for this challenge. 

I colored it and prepared a card.  Then I changed it....AND changed it again!!

Then I just left it alone!!!

Yesterday...I just remembered that I had to finish it up for posting!!

*From The Heart Sketch #43

Good day everyone-

I want to thank everyone who has sent me get well wish regarding my dentistry work I had done last week. 

I am healing, just not fast enough and still a bit swollen and sore!! I'm still on a liquid diet, but I am hungry!!

I have craving for just about everything I can't and I'm not suppose to have!!  LOL

So I have not been crafting much at all and behind, since the call from the dentist was very last minute. 

So I had no time to prepare nor, work ahead.  So I apologize to all my teamies, but they have all been so understanding and supportive. 

Today, I finally got around to taking pictures of some of the finished work I already had. 

From The Heart sketch this week is AMAZING!

Isn't that image the cutest?!?!? 

It's called Balloon Ride!!  Love those three mice and the cluster of balloons!!

The sentiment is also part of the image pack too!!

Hello everyone!!!

Today, is a really lazy Saturday!!! 

Good thing too because, I just had dental work done on Wednesday and I have been needing to relax a bit!!

We got some rain in the early A.M. so waking up to the smell of wet grounds and cool air, was a fabulous surprise. The boys and I have been reading books and watching movies.

I have been sitting on this card since Wednesday, before my appt and have not had a chance to post it til now.  I am using a stamp from There She Goes: Phyllis and "Thank You" sentiment is from Dadisms

I stamped on watercolor paper and colored with my watercolor pens.  

Love the way it all came together and very effortless too!!

SweetStamps Monthly November Challenge

Good morning sweeties!!

Today, is the 15th and that means it's time for the monthly technique challenge at SweetStamps.

This months theme is: 

Microbeads

Oh...I love it when a plan comes together!!

Last week, I had a friend ask me to help her decorate some pens for her desk!!  

She didn't want anything bulky or with flowers on it!! 

So, it took me a few days to think of something but, I had so much fun making these.

Here is a quick little step by step. 

First, supplies:

The only thing that you will absolutely need, that is not shown above is double sided sticky tape.

The sticky tape is already added to the strip of paper, which is 1.25 x 4.00 inches.

Once I stamped my inks, I laid the pen in the middle of the tacky tape.  I then rolled the pen towards me, then away from.  This is just so you get a smooth wrap around your pen. 

I then added another pieces of tacky tape over the pen.

It's ok, if you overlap..You will not be able to feel or even notice, once you complete the next step.

I then rolled the pen in the Sugar Beads!!! When you pick up, you may notice that there are still some tacky spots.  Just rolled it through the Sugar Beads again!!!  I made 8 of these, but my excited little friend took them all, before I could even photograph them all together.  She had no idea, that I was also working on mt DT assignment!!  LOL!!!
