{SS}#191: Autumn Greetings

Hi everyone...Good morning.
Today I am sharing my Fall project with you. I love Fall!!  I love the colors, the warm rich scents and the shift in weather.  Here in California, we are experiencing some cooler weather conditions, while keeping our fingers for some much needed rain.
For my card today, I am using colors, a sentiment, embossing plate and die, to help represent my Fall themed card. The rim of the leaf has gold glitter around it.   You can sort of see that in the photo.  The sentiment was printed onto parchment paper, which I LOVE!!

{FTH} Sketch w/ a tWiSt #82: Owl and Pumpkins

Good morning everyone-
Hope you are having a great weekend!  My son is in town for a few days and I am looking forward to some me and son time!!!  I am delighted to have this moment!!

Today, I am sharing a card I created using this weeks sketch w/ a tWist over at From the Heart.
This weeks tWisT is to either use washi tape or strips of paper.  Of course I chose strips of paper, but went along with the color combination.

I am using this gorgeous image called: Owl and Pumpkins
I had intended to make the background darker, but decided to stick closer to the color combination.
I struggle with color swatches, so it was a  good way to practice.
I printed the image twice.  I colored one image and fussy cut the image out.  The other image, I used a Spellbinder die to frame and sponge the background scene, before laying the colored image on top.
Here is this weeks challenge card. You still have some time to join the fun.

{SS} Kraft Colored Fuschia's

Good morning!
Today I am sharing a card I made for this weeks challenge, over at SweetStamps
We are working with kraft cardstock this week.  I love..love working with kraft!!
I love how you can color on it with both color pencils and your alcohol based markers.

For my card today, I am using the beautiful Hanging Fuschia.
I stamped the image twice on kraft cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored one of the images in using my Copic Markers.  I fussy cut all the colored flowers and placed them on top of the other stamped image.
Did you see that embossed background?  It's SweetStamps new Art Stencils...
YES...My sweeties I did say stencils.  This beauty is called:  BUCKLED

{SS} #189: Think of You

Good morning!!
This weeks challenge over at SweetStamps, is ALL about DIES!!!  Dies....Dies..and DIES!!
I have a HUGE collection of dies!!!  They are just one of items, that do NOT take up too much space, and you can use them in so many ways and with so many different material.
I just love my card today!!!  I've been hanging on too this beautiful and extremely soft felt for sometime and I figured it's to cute it up and put it to some good use.  I am using the SweetCuts Die: Cute Owl.  I cut the owl 3 times, so that I could get the different colors and layers.  The belly is created by layering some vintage lace I had, then sewing the layers together and trimming the edges.
Added the cute little SweetCuts Die: Mini Flower. The sentiment is from the SweetStamps: Simple Greetings
Here is close up of the pretty little owl.
So I have you enjoyed my take on another way to use dies. Can't wait to see your beautiful and creative creations.

{FTH} #80: The Years really STACK UP!!

God morning!!
Oh how I've missed blogging!!  We had a little incident at our home, which required some time away from home...which meant no crafting!!!  Things are back in order and I could not wait to color.
So there is still a few hours to join this weeks sketch challenge w/ a twist over at From the Heart
For my card today, I am using Birthday Burger Birdbrain
I LOVE this image!!!  So I had to have a little fun with it!!
If you notice in the original drawing, the burger is a 2 patty burger!!
Well I used Photoshop to make it a 4-patty burger!!!
It's a BIG mans burger now!!
Want to see the rest of it!>!>!>
Super cool right!!!  I just love the way how it all came together.  Even found some  OLD We R Memories paper: Country Livin' to play with...Couldn't resist the cow image!!  hehehehe
I applied glaze over the eyes and Wink Of Stella: Silver on the candle.  That is why it looks sort of grey in the picture above, but it's actually glitter!!
The flap is being held up by a magnet set.
I had to apply hot glue to the magnet to keep the hold.
These little things are super strong!!!  I thought that the layers of paper would weaken strength, but boy was I wrong!!!   So there you have it...I hope you have enjoyed my card today.
Don't forget, there is still time to join in!!

I would like to share this card in the following challenges:
Clear It Out: Birthday/ Pearls, Gelly Roll Shimmer, Glaze and Winks of Stella
Hugs.

{SS} #188: Favorite Embellishments

Good morning!!
This weeks challenge over at SweetStamps. We are asked to use our Favorite Embellishment(s)
Where do I start!!???  I dabble with all sorts of embellishments, but my favorite has to be:
Distress Inks and Candi Dots
You can do SO MANY amazing things with these stamps.
Aside from being able to stamp with them, you can use them on so many different surface and other mediums, to create your own color pallets.  I love to color with them.
For my card today, I am stamping with the distress inks, distressing and coloring with them.
I am using Glossy Paper, which gives a lot more play with these inks.   They don't dry very quickly. but you can heat set with a quick run of a dryer or heat embossing tool. I am using Halloween Silhouettes, Cloudy Skies and Grassy Hill
The other embellishment which is HUGE favorite are these Candi Dots (Legless Brads)!!  The look like brads, but are so much cooler!! LOL!!  So I had to use them on my card and pull out more of the color combination on my scene.
Hope you like my project today and I can not wait to see your favorite embellishments.

{SS} #187: Anything Goes

Good morning!!
Today is my turn to share my project for this weeks challenge which is:
ANYTHING GOES
Now...I know there are times when I need a quick card.  Maybe one to say thank you...or maybe a "Just Because".  I never seen to have too many of those lying around these days.
So I set out to make a few over the weekend.
The designs are simple, but I love the results.  Sometimes simple makes a string statement all on its on.  The flower wreath was created using "You Brighten My Day" stamp set, then embossed using silver and gold embossing powder.
Here is the Purple and Silver card, to which I added purple pearls.

Here is the lime and gold, to which I added gems.
The center sentiment is from the "Simple Greetings" stamp set.
